Synopsis
Zimka and Nazmija are two sisters from a Roma family growing up in Zagreb. At seventeen, Zimka is the older sister, but would like to stay a child for as long as possible, because puberty brings with it the beginnings of responsibility. Nazmija is in a hurry to grow up. The two sisters spend their days together – singing, hanging out and wandering around the city. However, their lives will soon change, as Zimka’s departure to a group home and her relationship with Tino will put their sisterhood to the test.
About the director
Anja Koprivšek (Novi Sad) graduated in international politics from the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade. She has completed educational programmes in women’s studies in Zagreb and Belgrade. She is currently a student of documentary directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Between Summers (2021) is her first film.
