Synopsis
On a deserted island, in a cave on the beach, there lived an old turtle who took care of an egg of unknown origin. Unsuccessfully trying to make it hatch, she grows to love it like her own, even though they never met. One night, as she senses it is soon her time to leave this world, she goes to visit the egg one last time.
About the director
Ana Despot is a student of animated film at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has an MA in English Language and Literature and French Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She has translated and illustrated a number of novels and children’s books, painted a few murals, and has professionally designed visual identities for several organizations. The Egg is her first animated film.
